Our goal is to help create and expand the economic base of Southeast Arizona and the surrounding communities. We will actively support the retention and expansion of existing businesses and the startup of new businesses. Our emphasis is on building the economic base, increasing the number of new jobs and employers in our area.

The Southeast Arizona Economic Development Group will maintain strict confidentiality in responding to inquiries and working with clients. Our mission is to assist you and your business.

Goals

• Create economies of scale and increased effectiveness through a regional agency serving much of Cochise County.

• Create employment opportunities for local people.

• Create jobs with salaries that pay above the county average.

Functions

• Serve as the Economic Development entity for the municipalities in Southeastern Arizona

• Provide a central point of contact for businesses and industries interested in locating in Southeastern Arizona

• Represent municipalities in Arizona Department of Commerce programs

• Create and execute business recruitment and marketing programs for the communities we serve

• Create and execute expansion and retention programs for the communities we serve

•Create inventories of resources for the communities we serve

• Assist in site selection

• Assist in the zoning and permitting process.
